Dr. Ryan George, DMD

Dr. Ryan George was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.

Following residency, Dr. George and his family moved to Manhattan, Kansas where he continues his active duty service time as Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas, also while serving the surrounding communities part time as an oral & maxillofacial surgeon.

Dr. George enjoys the outdoors, traveling, skiing, reading, and spending time with his three kids. He married his wife, Amber, in 2008, and credits her with supporting him throughout all the long years of training.


Education and Training

Dr. Ryan George completed his undergraduate degree (BA) at Brigham Young University in 2010 and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. Following dental school, he earned his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Certificate from the San Antonio Military Medical Center where he achieved proficiency in the full scope of oral & maxillofacial surgery procedures. He also received training in adult and pediatric anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery including dental implant surgery, facial trauma and reconstructive surgery, orthognathic corrective jaw surgery, sleep apnea treatment surgeries, facial plastic surgery, burn plastic surgery, and benign and malignant pathology. He also has certifications in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and advanced trauma life support (ATLS).
